Hazbin Hotel's Showrunner Has Seen Your Season 2 Predictions — And She Has Good News

The much-anticipated second season of the musical adult cartoon Hazbin Hotel debuts on the streaming platform soon, and audience theories has been rampant.

Season 1 presents a large cast of personalities living within Hell and Heaven, pits them against each other with musical numbers detailing their conflicts, and builds tense rivalries and emotional bonds that drive audience devotion.

The fandom's stated hopes for season 2 differ greatly, but certain themes recur frequently: Will a fan-favorite character escape his tormentor? Will we find out more about the mysterious "deal" constraining the enigmatic Alastor? Will [favorite character] and [other character] finally get together?

"Naturally, I don't make the show with fan service as the main goal," the showrunner stated recently. "However I believe that me being a devotee of the series means there's a lot of it just naturally. I also want to see these things, and I want some of these things to happen, and clearly some of these things are meant to happen in the show!"

She reveals her big-picture plan is for five seasons of Hazbin Hotel. Future installments have already been green-lit by Prime Video and A24, which produce the series.

That could imply fans have to be patient for some of the major resolutions — but they could be shocked at how quickly season 2 progresses, and how many of what they're waiting for happens this season.

"I believe people are going to be highly satisfied," she adds. "We get some firsts. I think we get some really amazing disclosures, some fascinating backstories, and even basic elements, [like] I hope this character gets a song. […] We're going to hear additional musical numbers from the characters we didn't get to hear before."

The creator is well-informed of the theories and desires about the upcoming season — particularly in the format of fan bingo cards.

"I've seen a few fans make a prediction grid about season 2," she says. "Naturally I can't post it, but I've actually done a few items, and nearly every one of them have almost a bingo. I thought, Oh, if you put this [event] in this spot, it would be a bingo. So that makes me think we accomplish much [of what fans are waiting for in this season], because I was like, Oh, there's multiple potential bingos on this card. So that brings me joy."

Hazbin Hotel season 2 launches on the streaming service on Oct. 29.
